The blog that my classmate posted about how the government
should implement mandatory vaccines is really spot on in my opinion. I agree
with what was said “If these are not met than there should be real consequences
including jail time or fines.” I agree
with this 100%!! People should stop being scared of vaccinations and actually
think about the good it is doing for you. Vaccines have a shield ready so that
way when something bad happens it is ready to fight. It is also a good thing to
know that without those vaccines many people have died from them….I know I would
rather get a vaccine then it actually leading to death. Like my classmate said “These
vaccinations have given society protection.”
Vaccines cost way less then actually going to hospital and sitting there
wishing you actually spent the money to get a vaccine. So again I totally agree that the government should
implement mandatory vaccinations. It just makes more sense. It is there to help
not hurt! Definitely a good read, really
enjoyed this post and more people should really start to think about it.

Free Child Care
I am choosing to argue that the government should provide
free child care. People struggle every day to provide for their children that’s
the one thing the parent does is to provide. If parents cannot afford child
care they have no way to provide for them. If you make child care free parents have
the opportunity to give their children better lives. They don’t have time to
work and make money if they cannot put their children in a good daycare or even
a daycare at all for that matter.
Also in my opinion it’s
such a demand right now it is literally baby season. It seems like to me every
time I log onto Facebook someone new is pregnant every day and something I know
with my friends being fresh out of college or haven’t even stepped one foot
into a college classroom, many of them are struggling to even pay for
themselves let alone another mouth to feed. It’s the worst thing in the world
to know that somewhere out there kids are struggling because their parents can’t
afford to take care of them.
I know it’s a struggle
so a little help from the government wouldn’t hurt. With me having such a passion
for kids it breaks my heart that the government hasn’t already started making
moves to make something like this possible. It would do a great deal for
society if the government would lend a helping hand and help those in need especially
in providing free child care to all those parents out there.

Government should help!
In my opinion I agree that the government should be helping or paying completely for our college education. As did my classmates blog explained. Every single year tuition is increasing not only for four year universities but also community colleges. People think that by choosing community colleges or state colleges they are able to pay less but it's almost just as expensive as a four year university. I know when I graduated I literally had no money. I had to rely on my parents and luckily they were there to support me or I'd be up to my ears in student loans. We're gonna in debt before we even pay and start to pay for school.
For a student like me that's super scary to think about. With tuition being so high is discourages young adults to not even want to go to school at all because they are scared they are gonna be broke before they even get a real world job. I know the government already does so much but by helping students pay for college it would offer so many more opportunities for young adults. The audience this reaches out to the most would definitely be students like me and many others. Her argument is very clear and to the point. I'm sure I am not the only one who agrees either.

Elections on the Weekend
The topic I am going to choose to make my argument will be
whether or not that we should move elections to the weekend or to even make it
a national holiday. In my opinion we should make them on the weekends because
not everybody is available during the week to actually cast their vote. Another
big reason as to why it should be moved is because it almost is biased towards
lower income people and higher income people.
People have many obligations during the week whether it’s their job or they are taking care of their kids. I mean let’s face it’s nearly impossible to get things done during the week. I’m a full time student, with no job and I’m one of the busiest people I know. During the weekends though people seem to be less busy and have time to actually do things that they aren’t able to during the week. With having elections on the weekday people aren’t able to go and cast their votes. Everyone’s vote is supposed to matter but with having it on a weekday not everyone’s vote matter. The government could also make it a holiday so that way everyone is obligated to go vote because they have the day off. Voting is already decreasing each election so how about making it easier to actually go cast a vote and make it matter.
In my opinion it is also discriminating to the lower income people. Having it on the weekday is usually when everyone is working so you get little to nothing done outside of work. For the people who don’t make as much they can’t afford to take off work because they need every last penny or they risk the loss of their jobs. But for the people that aren’t struggling can do whatever they want and not have it affect anything in their lives because they can afford it. Again everyone’s vote is supposed to matter but it’s honestly looking like the people who make more money are the only votes that matter.

Again with Trump....
The article I chose was from the blog ThinkProgress written
by Adam Peck and was titled “Michelle Obama delivers the most powerful
indictment yet of Trump’s misogyny”. The blog post was about how Michelle Obama
delivered a speech on October 13, 2016 in New Hampshire that was “far from
typical”. In recent news some of Trumps past again has come up and not very
many people are happy including our current first lady. The allegations against
Trump were that he was taking pride in sexually assaulting women. Videos have
surfaced from the Washington Post that has Trump on tape bragging about how he
would sexually assault women. He did not
even bat an eye and say that they were a lie. Obama was disgusted with what she
heard and seen that she told the public that she feels sorry for our country if
he becomes president.
The audience he is trying to reach is the whole world as was
Michelle doing when she made her speech. However, more specifically I think he
was trying to target women because they would have more of an opinion about
Trumps accusations because it happened to women just like them. I agree completely
with what the author was saying but more importantly I agree hundred percent
with what Michelle Obama was saying. The author really explained it well so
that the audience could understand perfectly. It was short, sweet and to the
point. The article was also eye opening
because it was not just some random person it was Michelle Obama. More people
are more likely to listen to what she has to say because she knows firsthand by
being married to the President. In my opinion the article was great and worth a
read.

Trump the Woman Hater.
The article I chose was from the New York Times titled, “HillaryClinton’s Everywoman Moment” written by The Editorial Board and was published
on September 27, 2016. The article is about how Hillary finally got her moment
to put Donald Trump to shame with his attitude towards women. During the debate
she let him talk and talk for ninety minutes then it was her turn to tell the
world. In recent news an old beauty queen of Trumps spoke out against him and
told her story. The story she told was about how nasty he was to her because
she was Latina woman. When her and Trump knew each other she said he would call
her “Miss Piggy” and “Miss Housekeeping” and I’m sure countless other names as
well. When she accused Trump of these accusations he didn’t deny them at all
and he basically said they all have deserved it. Clinton was addressing basically every woman
in regards to being put to shame by males. Apparently it worked because she has
mostly females on her side and she is still trying to get even more on her
side. Trump from my opinion doesn’t have many females on his side and I think
after the debate he isn’t going to get much more. Not only did Clinton want to
shame Trump she also wanted to bump up her votes and it was probably easy for
all the women to side with her.
Being a female myself it made me think less of Trump than I already
do. But after hearing how he degraded the woman made me hate him more. Clinton
was right to call him out during the debate and let the world or mostly the
women of the world know how he really is. I agree with almost everything the
author said and how she/he explained it. The author was also right in saying
that the debate turned into a “big-screen version of what women encounter every
day. “ It’s true because women go through that every single day but as soon as
someone important gets blamed for it, it becomes a big deal. The article made me think more about how our
government is going to be if he is elected president that’s for sure.

Obama Vetoes 9/11 Bill.
The article I read on Fox News which was titled “Obama
vetoes 9/11 bill, setting up showdown with congress” is about Obama having
caused some major controversy with congress because he vetoed a very important
bill. The 9/11 bill that Obama vetoed is a bill that would allow families of
9/11 victims to sue the government of Saudi Arabia. This bill being vetoed has
caused the congress to step up and try to override the president’s vote because
they just don’t simply agree with his decision. Many people from congress have
come together and are trying to vote against president Obama. Obama has warned
them that he is scared if we are given the right what is going to stop other
foreign countries from coming to the U.S. and doing the same exact thing.
